The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts.
Bloodborne Pathogens
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course was designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff, and tattoo artists.
Pediatric First Aid CPR AED
Heartsaver Pediatric classes are designed for anyone with little or no medical training to obtain a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA and Day Care), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for a pediatric emergency in any setting. For many Pediatric Heartsaver courses, participants will receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
First Aid CPR AED
HeartSaver CPR & AED provides participants with the skills needed to help a person until EMS arrives by: recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and how to properly use an AED.Heartsaver First Aid is designed to teach the basics for the most common first aid emergencies . Participants review how to recognize them recongize emergnies, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.
Family and Friends CPR
Family & Friends CPR is ideal for individuals who are not required to obtain a course completion card for for regulator purposes. This course is ideal for want to learn and practice the steps to perform CPR for Adults, Infants, and Children. Family & Friends CPR Course teaches adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. This is an abbreviated course which allows participants to experience the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. An ideal baby shower gift or civic group activity.
I.V. Skills Refresher
This course is created to review the anatomy of the venous system, basic IV care principles, universal precautions, as well as providing hands-on IV insertion skills practice. Participants will review/learn to place and manage peripheral intravenous lines and blood draw. We will also review how to maintain IV infusions (and sites), administer medication intravenously, and calculate medication drip rates. Hands-on participation includes successfully completing IV start and blood draw.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
The NRP Provider Course introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation. It is designed for health care professionals involved in any aspect of neonatal resuscitation, including physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, nurse midwives, licensed midwives, respiratory care practitioners, and other health care professionals who provide direct care during neonatal resuscitation.
The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program
The S.T.A.B.L.E. Basic Fetal Monitoring
This course is ideal for anyone providing care for expectant moms and want to learn about the Fetal Monitoring Process. While not required, some fetal monitoring experience is suggested.
Participants will learn the skills needed to asses intrauterine fetal wellbeing through electronic Fetal Monitoring.
