Becoming a certified sterile processing technician could be the right move for you if you’re looking to work in the healthcare industry, but don’t necessarily want to work directly with patients. Most sterile processing techs work behind the scenes cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and preparing various tools and medical equipment used for both invasive and non-invasive procedures. This is also a great career for those who like working in a team environment and don’t mind long hours or varied schedules.
